A little ship *
A little ship was so tired of traveling around the cold seas that she decided to move to an ordinary St. Petersburg flat. She got cold because of constant moving and was looking for the warmest spot. Thus, she came up with nothing better than settling down on the top of a teapot. They had tea often in this flat, so the teapot almost always was warm. And sometimes even hot. On these days the little ship wore woolen socks so as not to burn her feet.

One day there was a cheerful mood in the flat and the ship was having fun with everybody else, dancing in her woolen socks on the teapot lid.

Everything was colorful, waltzing and swaying, ringing and popping up.

"Such a colorful in-flat sea," thought the little ship.
Before she had time to say it to herself, she fell on the floor.

Something started to run around her. And the next moment the little ship was swept to the dust pan with a broom. She found a broken teapot lid beside herself.

The little ship was promptly rescued out of the dust pan, the lid pieces were taken away and the teapot itself was abandoned in the corner.

The little ship was walking about the room in her woolen socks and thinking what she could now do.

She liked the in-flat colored sea much more than the cold and watery one.But most of all, the little ship liked her warm spot on the teapot.

With this in her mind the little ship found her friend - the teapot, dragged it to the kitchen and pulled it back onto the table.

The little ship jumped back on her usual place on the top of the teapot and then turned and turned for a long time, for several hours with small breaks. She stopped turning only when her edges were set in a way that the little ship turned into a perfectly matching lid-ship.

"And yet this in-flat sea is warm somehow," the little ship thought, getting down on a freshly brewed aromatic tea.
